Host-to-Earn Model

While ESPL Arena’s User-Generated Tournaments platform is open to everyone to host tournaments for free, tournament organisers can also opt to implement a prize pool for their tournaments, allowing them to earn a portion of the prize pool when the tournament concludes successfully and prizes are disbursed.

Procedure

When a tournament organisers opt to create a tournament with a prize pool, this will require players who want to join to pay an entrance fee. All players who participate will be required to pay the same entrance fee.

The most significant portion of the prize pool (X%) will be distributed among the winners of the tournament with the tournament organiser deciding on the prize distribution and how many winners will receive prizes when the tournament concludes.

All tournament prize pools will use the $ARENA token for payment and disbursement of prizes. More tokens will be accepted in the future.

Community Use Cases

The ESPL Arena is an open platform not just for individuals but also for communities. Since tournament organisers have the option to review and approve applications to join tournaments, communities can create tournaments exclusively for their community on the UGT platform with or without a prize pool - or run a public tournament that anyone can participate in to drive more engagement.

ESPL Arena’s escrow system and smart contracts handle the prize disbursement automatically when a tournament concludes without issue - and if there’s any discrepancy or mismatch in the scoring, the tournament organiser or an appointed marshal (appointed by the tournament organiser) can step in to resolve the conflict and finalise the results, which will then initiate the payout sequence.

Players can receive their winnings to their non-custodial wallet of choice or have them deposited into our provided custodial wallet to be withdrawn at any time.

Benefits for Guilds

Guilds are more than welcome to host both internal and public tournaments on ESPL Arena, which will let them benefit from the escrow system and timely delivery of prizes to winning players. The UGT dashboard provides ample control to accommodate tournaments of various sizes, making ESPL Arena a platform that can accommodate guilds of various sizes while providing a revenue channel for the guild when organising public tournaments.

Furthermore, guilds can also benefit from being able to scout out more talented players to join their ranks all while earning revenue through the Host-to-Earn feature of ESPL Arena.

ESPL Arena’s Host-to-Earn is open to all users of the platform, which includes individual gamers who want to get experience in hosting tournaments or also to generate content for their social media outlets while being able to earn in the process. This opens doors to not just players but budding commentators, content creators, social influencers and more to be able to earn while simultaneously adding value to the ESPL Arena ecosystem.
